21Shares Brings Zcash and Ether.fi ETPs to European Exchanges

  • 21Shares introduced physically backed exchange-traded products for Zcash (ZEC) and ether.fi (ETHFI) on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris.
  • Each product features a 2.5% annual fee, enabling European investors to gain exposure to ZEC and ETHFI via standard brokerage accounts.

21Shares has rolled out a pair of physically backed crypto exchange-traded products targeting Zcash and ether.fi, allowing investors in Europe to access these digital assets using conventional brokerage accounts.

The 21Shares Zcash ETP (ticker ZCASH) and the 21Shares ether.fi ETP (ticker ETHFI) launched on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris on September 22. Each product is fully backed by its respective underlying cryptocurrency and includes a 2.5% annual management fee.

New ETPs Bring ZEC and ETHFI to Traditional Investment Channels

The Zcash ETP is assigned the ISIN CH1608218801, whereas the ether.fi ETP carries the ISIN CH1608218819. These instruments are traded in euros on Euronext Paris and in U.S. dollars on Euronext Amsterdam. 21Shares confirmed they are accessible via European financial institutions and brokerage platforms.

These offerings aim to deliver market exposure without forcing investors to buy the tokens directly, create accounts on cryptocurrency exchanges, or handle private keys. 21Shares noted that the underlying digital assets are maintained by independent third-party custodians.

The ether.fi ETP follows ETHFI, which functions as the governance and utility token for the underlying protocol. 21Shares pointed out that ether.fi has evolved from liquid restaking into an ecosystem offering earning, borrowing, spending, and payment services.

Meanwhile, the Zcash ETP offers exposure to ZEC, a privacy-centric cryptocurrency with a hard cap of 21 million coins. 21Shares drew attention to Zcash’s emphasis on post-quantum security and user privacy, alongside its optional shielded transactions.

This rollout expands the variety of digital assets available within Europe’s expanding ETP sector, giving investors a way to trade ZEC and ETHFI on established securities exchanges instead of holding the underlying coins themselves.

According to market data recorded on September 22, Zcash (ZEC) traded near $1,530, while ether.fi (ETHFI) hovered around $0.70.
